My experience was great, price was on par with other places I’ve been... I think I’ve found my new hair cut joint

First time visit was great. Love the sports venue and ball game on TV. Michelle gave me a discount on MVP. The entire experience was enjoyable. Nothing wrong with my barber shop visits, but the MVP treatment was a welcome relief to the Hurricane Harvey response.

I don't usually fill these things out, but due to the varying service and experience I have experienced from this location I felt you should know. You have a couple stylists that are consistently good, but you run the gauntlet when signing in on whom you will get. Yes, I know I can select a stylist, but I don't remember their names each time I go in. It seems weird to have to point and say I want that person. I have lived in Corpus for 2 years and prior to that San Antonio, and have been visiting Sports Clips for years. Over the past couple months I have been visiting your lower priced competitor across the street, but the place is filthy and the stylists are very unprofessional. Yesterday I went in to the Saratoga location thinking maybe this time would be different. You staff is very friendly and the facilities are very clean, but once again service just wasn't what it should be. I asked for the Triple Play as usual. After the hair cut I walked to the back to receive the hot towel and hair wash. My stylist spent about 2 minutes washing my hair and we were done. As we walked back to the chair I asked if the towel was no longer part of the triple play, and she said no that's MVP. I clarified again asking if she was sure, and in front of the other stylist and customers she seemed irritated and asked if I wanted to back and "do the towel". No thanks already embarrassed and also irritated. I am not looking for any hand outs or refunds, but more or less the opportunity to share my experience. With a tip I average $25 per visit about 15 times a year, not including hair products that's almost $400 per year I have to take somewhere else, and there aren't many options in Corpus. I hope things change we will see...
